3) What is the Institutional Research Board (IRB)?

All research involving collecting data from human participants must gain approval from the Institutional Review Board (IRB) before research can begin. Examples of data sets that require human participation include, but not limited to, questionnaires, interviews, systematic observation, focus groups, blood samples, human tissues and video-recording. 4) If I have an incomplete grade from previous semester, what is the deadline to submit my coursework?

Graduate students have until the end of the following semester to complete the coursework. Please ensure that the instructor has sent the final grade to the registrar's office, otherwise an F will be given for incomplete overdue at the end

of the semester.

5) Where can I find information about the thesis?

These guidelines are designed to give students, faculty and staff a broad overview of general thesis requirements at AUC, in addition to providing resources for those embarked on thesis projects. The guidelines were revised in 2010 and include the new Institutional Review Board (IRB) requirements, thesis e-submission instructions, as well as updated forms and sample pages.

For more information, click here.

6) If I am graduating this term, what should I do?
