Code of Standards for Students

AUC prides itself on creating and fostering an academic community that seeks not only to educate but also to cultivate critical thinking, informed debate, and high quality research and scholarship.  In order to achieve these goals, the University has established a comprehensive Code of Community Standards, which provides the framework for ensuring these objectives are achieved while simultaneously fostering broader concepts of global citizenship. As a community, comprised of faculty, students, staff, administrators, parents and alumni, we are only as strong as our weakest link. The actions and behavior of one person have an impact on the rest of the community, both directly and indirectly.

The Code of Community Standards seeks to explain and outline all of the University’s policies and procedures regarding conduct and ethics for all members of the AUC community.

By enrolling at AUC, students accept its rules and regulations, and recognize AUC’s right to adjudicate and sanction violations.  By accepting employment at AUC, faculty and staff also agree to respect and comply with these community standards.  And through their association with AUC, past and present, alumni and parents acknowledge the importance of maintaining a safe, secure, open, and tolerant community for all. More
