Need-Based Named Scholarships for Egyptian Students

Abdulhadi H. Taher Endowed Scholarships

The Abdulhadi H. Taher Endowed Scholarships provide full or partial support to Egyptian and Saudi Arabian students who demonstrate financial need and outstanding academic performance. The fund also provides housing for Saudi Arabian students or Egyptian students who live outside Cairo and Giza.

Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait Public School Scholarship

Established in 2018 to support one Egyptian student who is academically outstanding but financially underprivileged. The student should be from a public school or an experimental language school.

Al Ghurair STEM Scholars Program

Established in 2016 to provide an opportunity for talented students to pursue undergraduate or graduate degrees in any science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) majors offered at AUC. As AGFE focuses greater attention on partnerships for high-level system changes that can benefit wider communities of Arab youth, the foundation has stopped future intakes to the Al Ghurair STEM scholars program as of Fall 2020.

Apache Corporation Endowed Scholarship 

Established in 2010 to provide partial scholarships to two academically outstanding Egyptian students majoring in petroleum and energy engineering. Selection is based on financial needs and academic merit. 

Armenian Evangelical Scholarship

A scholarship to be awarded to worthy scholars of Armenian origin in need of financial assistance to enable them to pursue studies leading to undergraduate degrees.

Atef and Fofa Eltoukhy Family Endowed Scholarship

Established in 2012 to provide support to one Egyptian student based on an assessment of leadership skills, financial need, academic achievement, and a demonstrated commitment to community service.

Attijariwafa Bank Public School Scholarship

Established in  2019 to supports one public school graduate with a physical or learning disability who has demonstrated exceptional academic achievement and leadership. 

AUC Alumni Endowed Scholarships

Established in 1983 to partially support Egyptian and Arab dependents of AUC alumni. Selection is based on the student's academic merit and financial need.

AUC Centennial Scholarship Fund
This scholarship will offer partial/full support for undergraduate degree-seeking Egyptian and international students.

Ayman Korra Endowed Public School Scholarship

Established in 2006 to support one Egyptian student graduating from Egyptian public schools. The student must be enrolled in engineering and should maintain a GPA of 3.4.

BG Egypt Endowed Public School Scholarship

Established in 2009 to cover the tuition of one student from an Egyptian public school studying in the Department of Petroleum and Energy Engineering at AUC for up to five years.

Dr. Ahmed and Ann M. El-Mokadem Study Abroad Scholarship
Established in 2017 to support undergraduate Egyptian students who demonstrate outstanding academic performance and financial needs.

Dr. Akef El Maghraby Endowed Public School Scholarship

Established in 2003 to support talented students from Egyptian public schools.

Dr. Hamza AlKholi Public School Scholarship

Established in 2019 to support a student who graduated from a public school with financial need and academic merit.

Dr. Mamdouh Sharafeldin Endowed Public School Scholarship 

Established in 2014 to support one Egyptian student from an Egyptian public school. The scholarship will cover the student's tuition, insurance, and bus transportation.

Dr. Osman Abousteit Award for Exchanges to Germany 

This award will support students who demonstrate how their experience at a German university, a German company, or in a German artist’s residence will make an impact on their lives.

Egyptian Refining Company (ERC) Public School Scholarship الشركة المصرية للتكرير

Established in 2016 to support tuition for one undergraduate student from a public school in Matareya, Khosos, or Shark Shubra El Kheima (Mostorod).

Galal El Zorba Endowed Public School Scholarship

Established in 2004 to support an outstanding student from an Egyptian public school.

Global Santa Fe Corporation Endowed Public School Scholarship

Established in 2002 to support outstanding engineering students from Egyptian public schools based on their academic merit and financial need.

Hisham El Sherif Scholarship

The AUC- Hisham ElSherif Scholarship is offering to fully support the tuition and fees for one current student in the School of Business starting the Fall semester of 2020. 

Hisham Ezz Al Arab Endowed Scholarship

Established in 2010 as a partial scholarship for a talented and dedicated undergraduate student. Students who are in their junior year at AUC (defined as having earned not less than 60 credit hours and not more than 90 credit hours at the time) are eligible to receive this partial scholarship and be designated as the Hisham Ezz Al Arab Scholar.

HSBC Bank Egypt Endowed PSSF

Established in 2007 to support one student from an Egyptian public school who is enrolled in a finance-related major such as accounting, business administration, or economics.

Iman Elshahidi Study Abroad Endowed Scholarship

The scholarship support Egyptian Undergraduate students who graduated from a government school.

Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor Scholarships

Established in 2015 to provide tuition and accommodation to a total of 10 outstanding Egyptian students who come from outside of Cairo. Selection is based on the student's academic merit and financial need.

IPR Group of Companies/Dr. Mahmoud K.Dabbous Family Endowed Public School Scholarship

Established in 2006 to support one student from an Egyptian public school.

John and Gail Gerhart Endowed Public School Scholarship

Established in 2002 to support students from Egyptian public schools.

Joseph Van Vleck Endowed Scholarship

The Joseph Van Vleck Endowed Scholarship was established in 2011 for the purpose of supporting Egyptian students who demonstrate financial need (one male and one female). It covers full tuition, fees, insurance, and bus transportation costs.

Louise H. and David S. Ingalls Foundation Public School Scholarship for Women

Established in 2018 to support Egyptian females from public schools coming from outside of Cairo to pursue an undergraduate degree at AUC. Candidates should demonstrate academic merit and financial need.

Magdy Tolba Endowed Public School Scholarship

Established in 2006 to support one student from an Egyptian public school. The recipient should maintain a high-grade point average.

Major General Ahmed Arafa Endowed Public School Scholarship

Established in 2005 to support students from Egyptian public schools. The recipients should maintain a minimum GPA of 3.4.

May '87 and Ahmed Heikal Endowed Public School Scholarship

Established in 2006 to support students from Egyptian public schools.

Malcom Kerr Public School Scholarship

This scholarship is to support one undergraduate Egyptian Public School graduate from Upper Egypt or the Asyut region majoring in one of the Arts or Science programs for up to four years of study.

Mohammed Bin Abdulkarim A. Allehedan Endowed Scholarship and Scientific Research Fund 

Established in 2015 to support Arab students (females or males) in the fields of basic science such as mathematics, engineering, physics, chemistry, biology, energy and petroleum, water and environment, economics, and development. Acceptance will be based on merit and financial need.

Molly Bartlett Endowed Scholarship

Established in 2011 to provide support to one male and one female Egyptian student from Upper Egypt who attended an Egyptian public high school. Selection is based on an assessment of leadership skills, financial need, academic achievement, and a demonstrated commitment to community service.

Mustafa Abdel Wadood '91 Endowed Public School Scholarship

Established in 2007 to support one student from an Egyptian public school. The recipient should maintain a high grade point average.

Nevine Loutfy Scholarship

To partially support the tuition and fees of two students (preferably female) in the School of Business, concentration in Finance. The scholarship will be granted to students who demonstrate outstanding academic records and financial need.

Omar Mohsen Endowed Public School Scholarship

Established in 2012 to support a student-athlete who attended an Egyptian public high school. Selection is based on financial needs and academic achievement.

Omnia Abdullah Bakhsh '98 Endowed  Scholarship

Established in 2020 to fully support one student majoring in any field of engineering. Selection is based on student's academic merit and financial need.

Shell Egypt N.V Endowed Scholarship 

Established in 2013 to provide a partial tuition scholarship for up to two students in the Department of Petroleum and Energy Engineering.

Shokry Diab Public School Scholarship

Established in 2014  to support one female student from an Egyptian public school who demonstrates high academic merit and need.

The Azmy Scholarship

Established in 2020 to support the tuition and fees for one undergraduate Egyptian student from Upper Egypt who demonstrates need and merit.

The Hosna Rachid Partial Scholarship

Established in 2021 to partially support the tuition and fees of two Egyptian students (a male and a female), majoring in any discipline. The student should demonstrate sufficient merit and financial need.

The Nancy and Jonathan Wolf Study Abroad Scholarship

The scholarship is open to both undergraduate and graduate students.

The Nancy and Jonathan Wolf Study Abroad @College of Charleston Scholarship

The scholarship will support undergraduate and graduate students to study abroad for one semester or one year at the College of Charleston, South Carolina through the Student Exchange Program.

Wadi Degla Endowed Scholarship Fund for Student-Athletes

Established in 2015 to support one Egyptian student who demonstrates an outstanding secondary school academic record and an outstanding record, locally or internationally, in one of the following sports: soccer, squash, basketball, swimming, or track and field.

Wefaq Fahmy Endowed Public School Scholarship

Established in 2009 to cover tuition and books for a student from an Egyptian public school. The recipient should maintain a high grade point average.

Yahiya Arafa Endowed Public School Scholarship

Established in 2006 to support one student from an Egyptian public school.
