Electronic Class Management

Faculty in the Department of Rhetoric and Composition may use a variety of electronic class management Software. Faculty will specify which type of software they are using and may include email, wikis, Google sites or custom made websites or Blackboard.

What is Blackboard?
Blackboard is a web based course administration and teaching program used by some Department of Rhetoric and Composition instructors for their courses. A student maybe required to use the Blackboard program to keep track of assignments, emails, syllabus, readings, and other materials that are used in the course.

How do I access Blackboard?
You will be able to access your Blackboard account after the first week of classes. You should go to Blackboard and enter your UserID and Password. Your initial UserId will be your 9 digit Student ID number and your Password will also be your 9 digit Student ID number. Once you have logged on, you should change your password immediately so no one else can access your account.
