Brief Biography

Mohamed El Ahmady is associate professor of practice at The American University in Cairo (AUC) at the Department of Petroleum Engineering and Energy since 2015. He started his career as a petroleum engineer. He draws on more than 20 years of international expertise in the oil and gas industry. He worked in various capacities in several positions for Chevron North America and Saudi Aramco among other entities.

El Ahmady obtained an executive MBA from Rice University (Houston) while working for Chevron North America. He holds a PhD and MSc from Texas A&M University as well as a BSc from Cairo University (all three degrees in petroleum engineering).
