The following is a sample budget for a student preparing to spend a semester at AUC. It includes some estimated expenses that are separate from your AUC student account. As these will be paid out of pocket, make sure your budget matches your personal spending style and your plans for traveling or sightseeing.

Billing Information

As an international student, your primary resource for addressing your student account and billing services will be through the New York Office. Items like your housing deposit, your bus pass, and your tuition and fees will be paid through the New York Office.

Your AUC bill will reflect charges for two plans, the medical services fee and the mandatory health insurance premium described in the Medical & Health Insurance Information Section. There are no exemptions for the medical services fee. Exemptions to the mandatory health insurance will be considered only if submitted by the deadline date. If the exemption is granted, the fee for the health insurance premium will be removed. If your admission to the University is granted after the deadline, the request for exemption must be submitted within one week from receiving your admission offer by sending an email to Sara Saher at
