Established in 2018 to support Egyptian and Saudi Arabian students who demonstrate financial need and outstanding academic performance. The fund also provides housing for Saudi Arabian students or Egyptian students who live outside Cairo or Giza.

Armenian Evangelical Congregational Church of Cairo Endowed Scholarship

A scholarship to be awarded to worthy scholars of Armenian origin in need of financial assistance to enable them to pursue studies leading to undergraduate degrees.

Atef and Fofa Eltoukhy Family Endowed Scholarship

Established in 2012 to provide support to one Egyptian student from Upper Egypt based on an assessment of leadership skills, financial need, academic achievement, and a demonstrated commitment to community service.

Athletic Scholarship

This is an annual award provided to a select number of students who participate in sports that are listed in the Egyptian Championship Tournament and Olympic games, with a high level of distinction in their final secondary school year. Students who are awarded this scholarship and may receive a reduction in their tuition for a maximum of 15 credit hours per semester, the percentage / Value of this reduction is calculated and decided according to AUC policy and the evaluation of each student individually.

Maintaining the sports scholarship per academic year depends on the scholarship’s holder’s performance and improvement in his/her Athletics activities and results during each year.

AUC along with other individuals and corporations has launched the Public-School Scholarship Fund (PSSF) to expand opportunities to Egyptian students who graduated from public schools, with an outstanding academic record, and who demonstrate financial need.

Empower Scholarship

The American University in Cairo (AUC) provides five full/partial opportunities to Thanaweya Amma graduates from five governorates in Upper Egypt: Assiut, Beni Suef, Minya, Sohag, and Fayoum.

Mohammed Bin Abdulkarim A. Allehedan Endowed Scholarship and Scientific Research Fund

Established in 2015 to fully support Arab students (females or males) in the following fields; mathematics, engineering, physics, chemistry, biology, energy and petroleum, water and environment, economics, and development. Acceptance will be based on merit and financial need.

Orascom Construction-AUC Scholarship 

Orascom Construction -AUC offers undergraduate students up to five-year scholarships to public high school graduates from eight governorates in Upper Egypt: Assiut, Aswan, Bani Suef, Fayoum, Luxor, Minya, Qena, and Sohag to start in the academic year 2022-2023.Orascom Construction -AUC students will be required to study one of the following majors: economics, mathematics with an option in statistics and data analysis or actuarial science at AUC.

Sawiris Undergraduate Scholarship for Students with Disabilities

Sawiris Foundation for Social Development and The American University of Cairo initiated the Sawiris Undergraduate Scholarship for Students with Disabilities to expand opportunities to academically outstanding students with disabilities by admitting them to the AUC in order to create a nationwide network of youth who are well-educated and passionate about their country’s development.

The AUC Liberal Arts Undergraduate Scholarship

Building upon AUC’s commitment to internationalization and to offer exceptional liberal arts education in a cross-cultural environment and promoting liberal arts education in Egypt. The AUC liberal arts undergraduate scholarship will offer exceptional partial and full undergraduate scholarships to students from Egypt, the region, and the United States to study humanities and social sciences.

The Cultural Scholarship

This is an annual scholarship provided to a select number of students with distinguished achievements in any cultural activity. Students awarded this scholarship receive a partial reduction in their tuition for a maximum of 15 credit hours per semester.

The Palestinian Endowed Scholarships

 To provide partial/full support for qualified and talented Palestinian students to study at AUC. Students must demonstrate financial need and academic merit.

How to Apply

  • Candidates must be aware of all vacant scholarships focusing on the criteria of each scholarship to know the suitable opportunities in the assigned semester.
  • Candidates will be required to fill and submit only one interest form where they can choose up to five scholarships of interest. Note that the interest form is submitted only once and will not be edited.
  • Candidates will receive an email to start the application process, by filling out an admission form in case they have not applied for admission till the current date. 
  • After submitting an AUC admission application, candidates are expected to receive an email from the admissions office with an AUC student ID number. 
  • Candidates will use this ID number to create an account on Self-Service Banner (SSB) and to access the scholarship application.   
  • Candidates must fill all the sections in the scholarship application and upload the required documents, then press "submit."
  • Candidates who open the application after submission to edit or add any information must make sure to click the “submit” button again so that the application status would be “complete."
  • The deadline to submit the scholarship application for the fall 2022 semester is June 15, 2022.  
  • Required documents: 
  • Two recommendation letters.
  • Proof of extracurricular activities. 
  • For the athletic scholarship only; school competitions are not accepted. Official letter issued by the game federation, approved and stamped by the concerned sports union, the Supreme Council of Youth and Sports, and the Olympic committee.
