What are the events that faculty can present in?

Full time faculty can present at the AUC Research Conference, the Faculty Pitch Competition, the ALA Symposium, and Creatopia.

Adjunct faculty can present at the AUC Research Conference and Creatopia.

 

What can graduate students present in?

Graduate students can present at the AUC Research Conference, the Student Research Poster Competition and Creatopia.

 

What are the events for undergraduate students?

Undergraduate students with more than 45 credit hours can present in the EURECA Conference, the Student Research Poster Competition, or Creatopia.

First Year students (i.e. students with 45 credit hours or below) who have completed research in a 1000-level class can participate in the FYRE panels.

Undergraduate students should specify the faculty advisor on their Research Poster or PowerPoint for oral presentations.

 

Can faculty participate in the poster competition?

No.Faculty can only participate in the faculty events outlined in Q.1 above.

 

Can AUC students apply for the Pitch Competition?

No.The Pitch Competition is only for affiliated faculty.

 

Can a Research Assistant or Teacher Assistant apply for Research Week?

RAs or TAs can participate in the Poster competition if they are enrolled as AUC students.

RAs and TAs, whether enrolled as AUC students or not, can participate in the AUC Research Conference and Creatopia.

 

Who can attend the Research Week?

The event is opened to public. There will be representatives from the media, in addition to international and national leaders from academia and government.

 

Who will review the submitted abstracts and make the selection?

After we receive all submissions, the University Research Board (URB) will form a committee composed of AUC faculty from various disciplines to review the abstracts and make selections.
