Brief Biography

Abraham Anderson is returning to AUC’s Philosophy Department after teaching at Sarah Lawrence College. He is a historian of philosophy, and has a book forthcoming with Oxford University Press called “Kant, Hume, and the Interruption of Dogmatic Slumber.” His next project has to do with Hume’s influence on the genesis of Kant’s Antinomies. Besides Egypt and the US, he has taught or held fellowships in Mexico, France, Germany and England.
