Non Document items Guidelines

Non Document DEFINITION: All kind of items apart from papers.

  • Non Document RESTRICTIONS are considered as follow:
  • Jewelries – Explosive materials – Fresh food – Liquids of any type – Tobacco of any type – All types of illegal Drugs – Politics and in appropriate Printings items
  • Medicine treatment items, for personal use quantities only, MUST be accompanied with the Pharmacy receipt and Doctor Prescription.  

 AUC Requester needs to fill in a “Commercial Invoice” in addition to the regular AWB [Customer is requested to please print out and fill before collection]. [FORM link]   

Outgoing Mail items

Courier Mail items collected is to be sorted, weighted, priced, and packed in Mail office. 

Note: All BUSINES​S forms and AWB are subject to financial reconciliation process on monthly basis 

Personal requests [Private Mail items]:

  • ​​After the Mail item/s is collected, Mail Office sends by e-mail to the AUC Requester [Private] the expected charges according to weight and shipment location.
  • In case of agreement, Mail Agent collects the required charges in cash from the AUC Requester.

Note: All Private AWB are subject to financial reconciliation process on monthly basis, as charges may differ due to the $ exchange rate at end of month.

Incoming Mail items

Courier representative deliver all addressed to AUC Mail items daily in late morning. Courier Mail items received is subject to be sorted in Mail office for distribution; either inside AUC NC campus or to Tahrir AUC offices. ​​​​

Personal requests [Private Mail items]:

  • Mail Office sends by e-mail to the AUC Recipient [Private] the charges noted by Courier Company to approve amount to be paid in cash.
  • In case of agreement, Mail Agent collects the required charges in cash from to the AUC Recipient [Private] prior to hand over the Mail item.
