The AUC Liberal Arts Undergraduate Scholarship

Building upon AUC’s commitment to internationalization and to offer exceptional liberal arts education in a cross-cultural environment and promoting liberal arts education in Egypt. The AUC liberal arts undergraduate scholarship will offer exceptional partial and full undergraduate scholarships to students from Egypt, the region, and the United States to study humanities and social sciences.

Applicants must fulfill the below criteria:

  • High school graduate in AY 2020-2021 or a transfer student with no more than one year in their current university.   
  • Demonstrate outstanding academic qualifications
  • Meet AUC's admission requirements
  • Pass either the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with a minimum band score of 5.5 and a writing score of 5.5 or the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a minimum total score of 62 and a writing score of 17.
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Be interested in majoring in one of the following fields of study at AUC: anthropology, arts, Arab and Islamic civilizations, Egyptology, English and comparative literature, history, psychology, philosophy, political science, and sociology. The scholarship will cover:

  • Full/partial tuition fees
  • Housing in a double room at the AUC dorms (for eligible students who are residing outside Cairo and Giza or international students)
  • AUC transportation (for eligible applicants who are not residing at the AUC dorms)
