Academic English Course

Note: July 18-22 will be off for the Eid holiday. 

Egyptian students can pay the equivalent amount in Egyptian pounds. 

Improve the effectiveness of your communication and prepare yourself to succeed in university and beyond. Developing your written and verbal communication skills is a key factor for success to start your college journey and set you off for achievement in all careers.

This collaborative, project-based course will help you improve your critical reading skills, polish your written communication to be concise and engaging, and enable you to deliberate clearly and make persuasive arguments. Learn to write and communicate while exploring some of the critical disciplines that shape our world today - entrepreneurship, advertising, and psychology. Through the program, you will be exposed to multiple perspectives from interdisciplinary fields and you will work on connecting concepts to address real-world problems. Improve your academic readiness for college and beyond.  Join us this summer for a learning journey you won’t forget.

Please note that this course is not eligible for transfer (as the English course is a zero-credit course at AUC). The course prepares you for the IELTS exams required upon applying to any international university. The course will improve your level of English to increase your chances of passing the test.

  • High school students, entering grades 10-12, including graduating seniors

  • Students may only enroll in one College Bound: AUC course per summer

  • Submit an English writing sample (at least 750 words): essay or reflection, except for the Arabic course(s), no essay required

  • Submit a copy of your report card for the past two years of school

  • Submit a recommendation letter from a high-school teacher within the past academic year. The teacher must mention the student’s capacity for academic study in English

AUC bus service is available for extra fees. Details on the schedule will be shared before the program start date
