Junior Accountant II, Controller Department (10001630)

Reports to: Assistant Manager, Office of Student Accounting

Purpose: Make sure that tuition and fees charged and collected are following the university policies and procedures. The holder of the position is responsible for updating student information system (Banner) with the required adjustments in order for providing prompt and accurate information on student's accounts in compliance with AUC policies, procedures, and internal control rules. In addition is responsible for internal achieving at the Office of Student Accounting. Ensure better serving to AUC clients (AUC students, parents, and guardians). Update AUC general ledger with financial transactions posted to Banner


Principal Accountabilities:

  • Tuition and fees billing: Check each bill to make sure that the billed amount reflects the correct

  • calculations according to the approved tuition and fees costs (six times per year)

  • Tuition and fees refunds: update and reconcile all student's refunds (SCE, ESS, EE, and academic) Banner and SAP records

  • Contact AUC offices: Contact schools finance teams (SCE, ESS, and EE), University registrar's office, the enrollment and admission office, and the student financial affairs office

  • Perform other tasks as requested by the direct supervisor



Minimum education requirement: B.Sc. commerce, accounting or equivalent

Experience: Minimum of two years of experience



  • Organizational Awareness

  • High internal control skills

  • Good level of English proficiency

  • High level of computer skills and knowledge
