Program Manager, Co-working for Sustainable Employment, AUC Venture Lab (Grant Position)

Reports to: Director, AUC Venture Lab

Purpose: The co-working for sustainable employment program was developed by Hivos in collaboration with various local partner organizations across the Maghreb region, including Egypt. The program aims to achieve this by providing young men and women with opportunities to start their own businesses and provide themselves with a sustainable income. The program manager will be responsible for implementing and overseeing the fulfillment of the program’s outcomes and outputs, working directly with beneficiaries, partners and donor representative.

Principal Accountabilities

Manage program by implementing all donor requirements as stated in the agreed upon grant contract:


  • Manage call for co-working spaces from all over Egypt
    1. Plan and execute application outreach call
    2. Organize panels with three multidisciplinary experts from related fields
  • Conduct needs assessment to beneficiary co-working spaces
  • Secure and provide co-working spaces with trainings on needed topics to ensure their sustainability
  • Manage relationship with beneficiary co working spaces
  • Conduct field visits to monitor implementation of activities
  • Organize knowledge sharing sessions for co-working spaces
  • Oversee collection of monitoring and evaluation tools by co-working spaces
  • Collect reports on provided dates on program agreement contract

Local Partner

  • Manage relationship with local partner
  • Follow up on local partner fulfillment of contracted outcomes
  • Collect reports on provided dates on program agreement contract

Program Duties

  • Aggregate and present reports for donor entity on provided dates on program agreement contract
  • Manage fund disbursement to beneficiaries and local implementing partner
  • Follow up and work with finance grants office to ensure fulfillment of their needs


Minimum Education Requirement: University bachelor's degree
Experience: Five years of work experience

  • Mastering of Microsoft Office tools
  • Excellent in research skills
  • Excellent communication skills (Arabic and English)
  • Organized and ability to prioritize
  • Persistent
