Investment Analyst, School of Business - AUC Venture Lab (Grant Position)

Reports to: Manager, AUC Angels

Purpose: AUC's V-Lab investment and investor relations associate assists the AUC Angels in managing the lab’s investment programs. The position holder will be managing the startups investment track, where he/she would be required to design and implement a curriculum for the Investment track at the AUC Venture Lab. In addition to assisting in managing the investment track, the financial analyst will also be required to provide financial mentoring.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Manage startups screening and documenting insights on startups performance during qualifying pitches as well as following deep dive interviews
  • Supporting AUC Angels manager in managing the process of guiding:
  1. Startups through investment accelerator
  2. Investors through their base training, including coordination, assessment, documentation, research, and logistics
  • Assisting AUC Angels manager in:
  1. Coach and support entrepreneurs in preparing solid financial statements, business plans, expansion strategies, break downs of capital ask, and pitch decks
  2. Assist in outreach and monitoring of angel investors pipeline growth
  • Documenting, analyzing and reporting:
  1. Term negotiation sessions between investors and entrepreneurs
  2. Insights from monthly key-note speeches, as well as roundtable discussions 
  • Responsible for the production of:
  1. Due diligence reports
  2. Cap tables
  3. Terms sheets
  4. Shareholders agreement
  • Following up on startups and investors in submitting their quarterly updates and insights during the period of follow-on investments, thus incorporating insights to enhance the management of AUC Angels master process.

Requirements:

Minimum Education Requirement:  

  • Bachelor's degree in related fields
  • Masters is a plus

Experience:

  • 0-2 years of work experience
  • Experience in entrepreneurship field is a plus
