Manager, AUC Angels - School of Business, AUC Venture Lab (Grant Position)

Reports to: Director, AUC Venture Lab

Purpose: AUC Venture Lab’s manager, AUC Angels, manages the lab’s investment track. The holder of this position will be required to design and implement a curriculum for the investment track at the AUC Venture Lab. In addition to managing the investment track, he/she will be required to provide financial mentoring along with the financial academic component to startups from the acceleration cycle.  

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Managing the strategy and operations of AUC Angels through its four following sub-programs:
    • Investors Training: It is a program that capacitates high net worth individuals to become angel investors. He/she has to manage the content generation and execution of the whole program starting with sourcing individuals and down to introducing them how to inject capital in a startup they favor.
    • Startup’s Investment Readiness Program: It is a program that introduces shortlisted startups to the how-to(s), do(s), and don’t(s) of securing an investment, including operational and financial documents which they have to prepare in order to be ready to pitch their companies and ask of capital to investors.
    • Investment Deals: It is program that prepares the necessary documents such as due diligence, term sheet, financial documents, and cap table that any investor has to have in order to start proceeding with an investment. It is a cross-cutting program that feeds into the work of the two previously mentioned programs which both focus on developing the skills of entrepreneurs and investors alike in order to secure an investment and close a deal.
    • Angel Network: It is a program of scaling and incentivizing the network of angel investors, including, but not limited to, the regular events that have to be held in order to tap into the knowledge base of each investor and help him/her grow his/her network in the industry of angel investment.
  • Managing AUC Angels board of advisors relations that include but are not limited to presenting the strategy of AUC Angels and how it manage its programs and the deals life cycle.
  • Coordinating media, communication, marketing and logistical relations with AUC Venture Lab core business development team.
  • Setting and communicating AUC Angels’ KPIs and programs, as well as trainings products design and launching with AUC Venture Lab Director.
  • Managing a team of one (or more) professionals who help him handle the operations and manage programs of AUC Angels.

Requirements:

Minimum Education Requirement:  

  • Bachelor's degree in related fields
  • Masters is a plus

Experience:

  • 10 years of work experience at least five years in entrepreneurship
  • Experience in entrepreneurship field
