Indoor Facilities at AUC New Cairo

ARTOC Sports Court 



 • The main sports arena (ARTOC Sports Court) can be set up with three full-size basketball courts, three volleyball courts, or a competition-size handball or basketball court with spectator seating for 2000+ people, plus one speedball.

Fitness Areas



 • Four exercise rooms, including an aerobics area, a free-weight room, a machine exercise area and a private exercise room. All are equipped with state-of-the-art machines, treadmills, elliptical machines and free-weight equipment. 

J. Dinsmore Adams, Jr. Squash Courts



• Six squash courts, including two with spectator areas for 200 people, and designed to allow for hosting tournament play. 

Secondary Teaching Gym



• The secondary gymnasium space, the teaching gym, has a full-size basketball court that can also be used for volleyball.

Additional indoor facilities:

• A table tennis area with five tables.



 • A multi-purpose room called the martial arts room that will be the primary site for all martial art disciplines, including judo, karate and tae kwon do, as well as fencing and other activities. 



• Locker rooms, sauna, and steam rooms for men, with similar facilities for women.

•  There are also two food outlets in the building, one a coffee shop on a roof top with seating for 100 people. 


Outdoor Facilities at AUC New Cairo

Paul B. Hannon Swimming Pool



• A 50 meter by 25 meter, 10-lane competition swimming pool that serves as the site for water polo. The pool may also be used for scuba training. Lounge chairs around the pool make this a great spot to sit and talk with friends. For the swimming pool schedule, please click here.

Mr. Khalaf Al Habtoor Football and Track Stadium



 •  A main football field, with a 400-meter, 10-lane track and field facility.


J. Dinsmore Adams, Jr. Tennis Courts

 •  Six outdoor tennis courts.



Outdoor Basketball Courts



 •  Including the Ahmed Gala Ismail Basketball Court and a secondary basketball court.

Additional outdoor facilities

 • A practice football field (grass), an outdoor handball court, two discus courts and four outdoor volleyball courts.

All outdoor areas are lighted for evening play and have spectator seating.
