Shuttle buses are available. For more details and pick up points refer to the schedule of bus services. During orientation week, there is a specific schedule which runs during that time only. For further details please visit Getting to Campus.

Q4. Where can I stay while in Cairo?
AUC provides on-campus residence or you check out the off-campus housing information which is provided by ISA as a means of support for international students.

Q5. How to go about obtaining a visa?
Citizens from the E.U. or the USA can obtain their visa upon arrival at the airport for a fee of $15. Upon entrance to the International Arrivals Hall at Cairo International Airport, stop at one of the banks located in the Hall and purchase a visa. Then proceed to the arrival officer. To be on the safe side you may go to the closest Egyptian consulate in your home country and obtain your visa prior to your arrival.
After registering as a full-time student (with 12 credit hours or above) at AUC you begin the process of obtaining a student residence visa. The procedure starts when you complete the International Student Data Form and submit it to New York office attached with a photocopy of your passport at least three months prior to your planned arrival date to Egypt in order to begin the process.
Once on campus, you can visit the Business Support office in order to start an application for a longer-term student visa. The office is located in the basement of the Administration Building (G019) and operates from 8:00-2:30 Sunday-Thursday. Issuance of a student visa takes at least three weeks to process, so we suggest dropping off your passport soon after you arrive on campus. Please be prepared with two passport-sized photos in order for the issuance process to start immediately.  At the old campus, the office responsible for visa issuance is located at the Main Building, Room 412.

Q6. How do I get an AUC ID card?
All international students may go to the Student Services Center (SSC) in the Information Center to get an ID card issued.  During orientation week, your assigned International Peer Leader (IPL) will assist you to have one issued.

Q7. What are the AUC administration working hours?
All administrative offices at AUC work from 8:30 A.M. until 3:30 P.M., Sunday through Thursday.  The weekend in Egypt is Friday and Saturday.
