Mission

The term computing refers to a family of disciplines, were Computing Professionals are concerned with the design and analysis of hardware and software to perform new functions or to perform old functions in new ways. The mission of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering is to provide a high quality science and engineering education within a liberal arts context to students from Egypt as well as from other countries. Program Accreditation

The computer science program is accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET (111 Market Place, Suite 1050, Baltimore, MD 21202-4012; Tel. (410) 347-7700; www.abet.org). 

ABET-accredited programs are recognized worldwide.  Graduates of ABET-accredited engineering programs are eligible to register as professional engineers in many countries around the world, including the United States, Canada and Australia, after passing the required examinations.
