The Medical Services Department Protocol of H1N1
  • If you are sick with a flu like illness while being on campus, visit the flu clinic at the AUC clinic P053, Campus Center.

  • After being examined, prescribed the proper medication, stay home (your room), keep away from others as much as possible to keep from making others sick. Stay home for at least 24 hrs. after your fever subsides.

  • If you are sick with flu like illness while being at home, inform the AUC clinic, use antipyretics (paracitamol) e.g. Adol, Abimol, cold compresses. Avoid Asprin (acetyl Salysilic acid).  Keep away from others as much as possible to keep from making others sick. Stay home for at least 24 hrs after your fever subsides.

  • An on-campus residents will serve as an isolation facility for on-campus resident students.

  • If your symptoms persist, you have to inform the AUC clinic to determine the need for throat swab. If so, you will be preferred for admission at one of the hospitals having an agreement with AUC (for such cases treatment).
