University Preparation Program (UniPrep)

The UniPrep program is designed for secondary school students who are preparing for university. It provides students with a foundation that will help them achieve success at any English-language university in Egypt or worldwide. The UniPrep program aims to enable students to make a smooth transition into university life by preparing them with the tools necessary for social and academic success, both inside and outside the university. The program focuses on enhancing critical thinking, cognitive reasoning, communication skills and research methods. 
 
The UniPrep program uses state-of-the-art technology, innovative teaching and learning approaches, and topical materials.
 
It is offered in two levels, each consisting of 60 hours of instruction:
 
A. UniChoices Level One (first-year secondary school students)
B. UniChoices Level Two (second and third-year secondary school students)

Each level consists of the following two courses, with different material for level one and level two:  
 
1. Critical Thinking and Problem Solving (20 hours)
The aim of this module is to introduce pre-university students to some of the elements of critical thinking and to develop their critical thinking and problem solving skills. It consists of two modules:
a. Critical Thinking
b. Problem Solving
 
2. Academic Study Skills (40 hours)
* The aim of this module is to enable students to understand, read critically and speak English accurately and confidently to be able to function and succeed at any English-language university. This will be done by exposure to English texts, immersion in an English language environment and opportunities to practice what has been taught.
It consists of two modules:
a. Communication and Presentation Skills
b. Research Methods
