The Lazord Civic Leadership Academy

The Lazord academy comes in alignment with John D. Gerhart Center for Philanthropy and Civic Engagement’s continuous effort to embed civic engagement into University life. 



Vision:
Lazord seeks to graduate a generation of civically responsible and skilled leaders that play an active and engaged role across all of society’s sectors.

Mission:
Lazord empowers select AUC students and young civil-society leaders by offering them guided opportunities to expand their skills in ethical leadership, civic engagement and strategic philanthropy. The program facilitates student academic excellence and personal growth in a structured and dynamic environment that helps students build the bridge between theory and practice.

In an effort to promote professional youth civic engagement in civil society and democratize leadership education, the John D.
