AUC Wellness Program

Program Objectives

The wellbeing of the people contributing to AUC is ranked as one of its highest priorities.  AUC believes in the importance of having healthy, high spirited Faculty and Staff; and will therefore provide them with information that would help them acquire healthy means for handling their daily routines, habits and behaviors and cope with their difficult times.

Expected Outcomes of Wellness Program

  • Supporting work force: The physical, psychological and mental wellbeing of staff supports an effective, productive, and safe work environment.

  • Improving work performance: Healthy employees do better work, are happier in their jobs, and are more able to adapt to changes and meet new challenges.

  • Reducing absenteeism and saving cost: Implementing health care strategies may reduce staff absenteeism and may help reduce the overall medical costs in the long run.

  • Reducing stress and anxiety: Nutrition and fitness, work satisfaction, family life, and physical and emotional health issues all affect one another. Learning healthier lifestyles reduces the strain on the body, mind and spirit; and helps to balance work/life issues.

  • Improving interpersonal relationships: Our health very much affects our mood and spirit. Improving mental, emotional, physical and/or spiritual health improves our lives in general.

  • Providing a wide range of data: By learning more about health and life issues, wellness programs establish information base essential for leading a healthier life span.

Services are to be rendered through the following departments, and their coordinated efforts will lead to the program’s success.
