Training Needs Form

The Office of Training and Development is in the process of creating our new training plan for the academic year 2013 - 2014. In line with trying to continuously improve our services to the AUC staff community, the training and development team would like to get employee feedback on their training experience during this academic year as well as what they need in the next academic year to upgrade their knowledge, skills and abilities. Please complete the training needs analysis questionnaire and send it to the Office of Training and Development Office or to stafftrain@aucegypt.edu

Annual Leave Plans  2012 - 2013

All University divisions need to coordinate annual support staff leave plans in order to continue normal University operation and to allow personnel to take their vacations.

The general guidelines of this process are as follows:

  • The leaves may be taken any time during the financial year from the beginning of September to the end of June. Although the law gives the manager the right to decide on the timing of the annual leave for individuals at his/her department according to work requirements, individual preferences should be accommodated, whenever feasible.
  • If unusual work conditions prevent an employee from taking his/her annual leave entitlement in full before the end of the financial year, a special action to carry over a maximum of 10 days to the end of November of the next financial year may be considered.
  • Kindly note that the deadline for sending the carry over requests to the Office of Human Resources (as approved by the concerned director, department chair and area head/dean, where applicable) is May 15, 2013.
  • To maintain clear records, employees will be required to sign the leave declaration form clarifying their leave status at the end of the financial year, to be sent to the HR office by July 1, 2013 at the latest.
If you have any questions, please contact Kamelia El Kabbany at ext. 2422 (AUC New Cairo) or Maha Ali at ext. 6763 (AUC Tahrir Square).
