AUC Inaugurates New Cairo Campus

Background
AUC's decision to relocate was a result of overcrowding and institutional fragmentation in its Tahrir Square Campus.

 Location
The New Cairo Campus is located in the suburb of New Cairo, a development comprising 46,000 acres of land and with a projected population of 2.5 million people.

Architects
AUC's New Cairo Campus project was realized by the collaborative work of a team of international architectural firms and consultants.  

 Named Spaces
Many of the buildings, classrooms and spaces on the new campus carry the name of the donors who made them possible. 

Principal Meeting Spaces
The New Cairo campus contains a number of indoor and outdoor meeting spaces that can contain from 200 to 5,000 people.
