Field Studies / Short-term Study Abroad
Providing AUC students with a global education, some faculty have started including international field trips as part of their courses. These faculty-led programs are short-term study abroad opportunities developed by AUC faculty in conjunction with International Programs Office (IPO), where a faculty member will take a group of his or her students on a study abroad trip as part of the course requirements. This can range from a few days to several weeks. The course is immersive in its approach and takes place during the winter or summer terms. Responsibility for such courses lies with the Office of International Programs.

Students participating in such courses earn AUC credit associated with this course toward their degree.

The costs associated with each program vary and will include, in addition to the paid AUC course tuition, program fees and other travel-related expenses.

Note: Financial aid and scholarships apply toward the tuition and fees for field studies.
