El Khazindar Invests in AUC’s Business Education
AUC alumnus Hisham H. El Khazindar ’96 established last spring the Business and Research Case Development Center, pledging $250,000 to AUC so that future business graduates can study business cases that are more relevant to the region.
“This important contribution will better prepare students who aspire to pursue business careers in the region,” said Ken Manotti, Vice President of Institutional Advancement.
El Khazindar is a founding partner and Managing Director of Citadel Capital, a leading Cairo-based private equity firm, focused on the Middle East. Prior to Citadel Capital, he was Director of Investment Banking at EFG-Hermes in Cairo for three years and an intern in at Goldman Sachs International in London.
A regular contributor to AUC, El Khazindar has also given towards the new campus Alumni Wall and Library. He is active in community service and civic engagement. As a graduate student at Harvard, he was a contributing writer for The Harbus, the student weekly newspaper for Harvard Business School. In 2004, he participated in the Georgetown Leadership Seminar. In 2002-2003, El Khazindar was involved with City Year, an organization that engages in community service, civic engagement and leadership development.
El Khazindar holds a BA in economics from AUC and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He is married to Ola Munir Dajani, a ’96 AUC alumna with a BA in business administration.
