Tamer F. Abdelmaguid received his PhD in industrial and systems engineering at the University of Southern California, United States in 2004. He obtained both his BSc and MSc degrees at the Mechanical Design and Production Department, Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University in 1996 and 2000 respectively. Before joining the Mechanical Engineering Department at AUC, he was an associate professor at the Mechanical Design and Production Department, Cairo University. He spent two academic years at the Industrial Engineering Department, King Saud University, Saudi Arabia as a visiting assistant professor from 2008 to 2010. He taught several undergraduate and graduate level courses in the field of industrial engineering. He has provided consultation services to local governmental and industrial organizations. His research interests are related to optimization of manufacturing processes, production planning and scheduling and supply chain management. He has published several research papers at international journals and conference proceedings.
