Omneya Kamal received her BA in English from the Faculty of Arts. After her graduation, she was selected as a participant for the Peace Scholarship Program. She studied linguistics and teaching methodology at the University of Utah in the United States. After her return, she obtained a diploma in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) from Cairo university. She then received her master's degree in applied linguistics from The American University in Cairo, and was voted the most outstanding student in the linguistics department. She is currently an instructor in the Department of Rhetoric and Composition. She was recently selected as a Fulbright scholar and is now enrolled in the University of Arkansas for Summer 2017 as a participant in the Junior Faculty Development Program.
Omneya is interested in conducting research in language acquisition and research writing. She is interested in teaching academic reading, academic writing and research methods. She is also interested in curriculum design.
