Alessandro Topa
Alessandro Topa is a visiting assistant professor of philosophy at The American University in Cairo. He received his MA and PhD from the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität in Bonn, Germany.

His current research work on modality and apperception is focused on a complete reconstruction of the metaphysical deduction of categories in Kant’s Critique of Pure Reason. Moreover, he studies Charles S. Peirce’s theory of normativity (including his mature semiotic logic) and its derivation from the theory of categories.
