AUC Library invites you to a book discussion event on Wednesday, November 8th, 2017 at assembly hour. The talk will be given by AUC Alumna, Zeinab Mobarak, on her Arabic
The School of Libraries and Learning Technologies, in collaboration with the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology and Egyptology, will host a screening of a documentary film about the Armenians of Egypt.
"We are Egyptian Armenians" was directed by Waheed Sobhi and Eva Dadrian, and written by Hannan Ezzat. The screening will be followed by questions and a discussion moderated by Sossie Kasbarian, assistant professor in the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology and Egyptology.
The seminar will include a screening of the documentary "Cinema Memory" by Sherif Fathy Salem, producer/director and lecturer in documentary .
There will also be a presentation by Ola Seif, Reference specialist & Curator, RBSCL of "Treasures from AUC's Film Archives".
Open Access Week is a global event to raise awareness of the importance of open access to information and knowledge. It is held during the last full week of October each year; this year, the week runs from October 23 to 28.
