AUC OXF Conference on Language & Linguistics
The Organizing Committee for the Second Joint International Conference between The University of Oxford College of Continuing Education and The American University in Cairo welcomes you both to Cairo and to the American University in Cairo, the venue to this year’s conference to be held on March 24 and 25, 2006. It comes in succession after a series of international conferences organized by AUC’s Arabic Language Institute, English Language Institute and the Writing Program.
We hope that Cairo, home of traditional scholarship and excellence in Arabic language and linguistics, and the American University in Cairo, leading institution in the teaching of both Arabic and English languages will give life to the very principle under which this conference stands: the theme of the diversity of linguistic cultures and of their bridging.
