The American University in Cairo is proud to announce the launch of its online alumni community. Created exclusively for AUC graduates, the community is a secure web site that allows you to network with fellow alumni and your institution through these web-based services:

Class Notes: Find out what your fellow alumni are up to. Read class notes and submit a class note of your own. Share your successes, career changes and promotions, additions to the family, business and community recognitions, company awards, and other news of interest to your classmates.

E-newsletter: Subscribe or unsubscribe to Inside AUC, a monthly e-newsletter for alumni and friends.

Events and Chapters Activities: Register online to a variety of alumni events and activities and stay engaged with your alma mater.

AUC E-mail Account: Apply for a free lifetime AUC e-mail account.

Online Directory: Locate your classmates by first name, last name, graduation year, academic major, international or special program, state, country or type of industry. Check and update your contact information, including your home and business addresses, phone numbers and e-mails, in addition to your cell phone number (by default, this will not be published online).

To join the online community, follow these steps:

• Visit http://alumni.aucegypt.edu and click First-time User Registration. Complete and submit the registration form. The alumni office will then verify your alumni status and send an alumni-pass to the active e-mail address provided in your registration form within two working days.
  
  
• After receiving your alumni-pass, visit http://alumni.aucegypt.edu and click Verify and Activate Your Account.Enter or copy and paste your alumni-pass together with your date of birth to verify your account then create your own username and password to log into the alumni online.

We have put a lot of effort into this project to make it as informative and beneficial as possible. We are sure that this new service will help you become more connected to your institution and to your colleagues.
