Alumni Faculty and Staff Event September 19, 2012
To start a fresh year, the Alumni faculty and staff chapter started off its series of events with a lecture under the title "How to Manage your Life Stress" given by Dr. Aya Maher '85, '03, Associate Professor of Human Resources Management. Dr. Maher explained to the attendees the most effective tools in dealing with daily stresses. VIEW PHOTOS

Class of 2016 Convocation Ceremony
On Thursday, August 30, 2013, the Office of Alumni and Trustee Affairs hosted the Class of 2016 Convocation Ceremony for all newly-admitted students and their parents. The event took place at Bassily Auditorium at AUC New Cairo. More than 800 students were in attendance as well as 70 parents. The event began with the procession of the faculty and a welcome address by president Lisa Anderson. The new freshmen then read together the AUC pledge before watching a film about the achievements of AUC's alumni. Dr. Ashraf El Fiki, vice president for student affairs and Mrs. Ghada Wagdy, president of the Parents Association spoke on the importance of the community at AUC - parents, students, faculty and staff - to the education of each AUC student. The event concluded with a reception for all the new students and their families, and members of each academic department and office made themselves available to answer questions about AUC's schools, services, financial aid and programs. AUC alumni got together for "iftar" together on the terrace of the Alumni Lounge and, along with friends and family, enjoyed a special performance of "El Aragooz" by the Alumni Community Theatre (ACT)

Alumni Homecoming 2012
Class of '87 Silver Jubilee
Alumni of the Class of '87 celebrated a milestone anniversary on Saturday, December 17, as they gathered at AUC New Cairo to share memories of their college days after 25 years since graduation. Joined by alumni of the classes '86 and '88, friends and classmates enjoyed each others company, vocal performances by Dina Labib '09, footage of their commencement ceremony and a slideshow of snapshots from their time at AUC in the '80's.VIEW PHOTOS

Sohour Gathering
In a cozy Ramadan setting, Mohamed Ismail '87 arranged a sohour gathering for all alumni. Around 90 alumni members attended with their families. They enjoyed the night socializing and updating each other with their latest news. VIEW PHOTOS

Alumni Faculty and Staff Second Gathering
On Tuesday, June 15, the second gathering of the alumni faculty and staff interest chapter took place at the Alumni Lounge. Twenty six alumni, faculty and staff members attended the gathering. Chapter leaders Hoda Grant ’83 and Mervat Abou Ouf ’88 ’02 effectively moderated an informative and integrated political discussion. Ding Dong! ‘Alumni Happy Day’ is here!
On Wednesday, April 20th, twenty seven alumni staff and faculty working at AUC attended the “Happy Day” which was held from 10:00 am till 5:00 pm in the alumni lounge.

They enjoyed the comfort of the lounge in the company of their fellow alumni, who displayed their products and services at discounted prices. Alumni enjoyed Aroma Coffee and received 25% discount cards. They also checked the latest collection of books offered by the alumna owned publishing house- Al Balsam, also offered at discounted prices. The attendees enjoyed the performance of Ms. Laila Tarek’99 who sang two songs. Stay tuned for our upcoming happy days and don’t miss them!
