Description:
This class will expose students to the basics of communication research as well as basics of intercultural communication. Students will explore the nature and importance of cultural differences in processes of communication. Through interacting with Hispanic and Arab students and residents in Miami, Florida, they will get a first-hand opportunity to investigate the ways and the extent to which cultures may converge, differ, and/or clash, and what people do to survive cultural differences, and to preserve their own cultures.
