RHET-299: Discovering America: Writing on the Road

Description:
An Elective course which focuses on writing publication while discovering America. Students will keep daily journals in form of a Blob and come up with ideas which they will develop into articles for ElKobri (a student driven publication). They will also discover writing for publication by a process of visiting media programs at Columbia, Duke and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Learning objectives of the course:
- Understand the process of writing for Print Publications,
- Develop Story ideas based on the theme of Discovering America,
- show understanding of how experience or interest area that is compelling to them,
- develop multiple writing styles and employ proper language tone.
