Converging Media: Communicating Across Borderswith Words, Pictures and Sounds in the Global Village”Visit to Tanzania


Credit: Three credit hours

Instructors: Robert Jones and Doris Jones

Course Description:This program is designed to introduce students to the environment of convergent media where various media platforms, such as print, streaming audio and video, graphics, and photography are being used to produce news and information for emerging news and information markets composed of thousands upon thousands of different voices and readers.  Throughout the visit, students will link requisite skills in news writing and reporting, photography and building multicultural competence in an effort to gain substantive benefits.
