International Graduate Fellowships

International Graduate Fellowships in Arabic studies, Middle East studies and sociology-anthropology are offered to international students who wish to pursue full-time study (9 credits or more) towards a master’s degree in one of the above programs at AUC.

Eligibility

  • Full admission to one of the above programs.
  • Appropriate undergraduate degree with a minimum overall GPA of 3.4 on a 4.0 scale, or equivalent.

Duration

  • The fellowship is awarded for two academic years and the intervening summer session.

Award

Fellowship covers:

  • A waiver of tuition fees.
  • A monthly stipend of LE 850.
  • A monthly housing allowance of LE 1250 or accommodation in the University dormitory.
  • Medical service and health insurance fees.
  • In support of their professional training fellows are assigned 18 hours per week of related academic or administrative work.

To Apply

  • The graduate admission application, the fellowship application, and recommendation letters must be submitted to the Student Service Center in Cairo or the New York office by February 1.
  • Selection of recipients is made in April.
  • Fellowships begin the following September.
