Building the Next Generation of Scholars in Egyptian Public Universities

Objective

The fellowship program, launched by the School of Global Affairs and Public Policy in cooperation with Ford Foundation, aims to build the capacity of young Egyptian scholars in public policy research, study and evaluation, to help them contribute to the policy-making process in the Middle East region at large.

The fellowship targets young teaching assistants in Egyptian public universities, and offers them the opportunity to pursue at AUC either a Master degree in Public Policy and Administration, or a Master degree in their relevant social science discipline plus a diploma in public policy and administration.

Awarded students will not only enjoy high quality multidisciplinary education, but will also enjoy being part of AUC’s multi-cultural environment. Our scholars will be encouraged to take part in the activities of the OneAUC Initiative, which aims to spread intercultural understanding, as well as other activities that enhance their leadership skills and prepare them to play leading roles in their fields.
