Registration Time

Registration is open to you, Sunday through Thursday, from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. During Ramadan, the work time is from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm.

There is an early registration period that begins two weeks prior the end of a term and extends until one week before the next term (Calendar 2006 – 2007). During early registration, you can benefit from the fees reduction, select your preferred class schedules, and avoid crowds during the rush periods of late registration.

Late registration begins approximately one week before the start of the targeted term. There is no fee reduction at late registration.

Registration is on a first-come-first-served basis.

Tuition Fees Payment

New students are required to pay the full tuition fees upon acceptance to a program. Tuition fees are collected on a term basis. Please refer to Tuition, Test and Service Fees for updated information on prevailing rates.

Students sponsored by organizations or firms may register through their representatives, who need to first coordinate with the Accounts and Billing unit, Room 102, Tahrir Square Campus.

Withdrawal

Students who wish to withdraw from study after registration will receive a partial refund. The exact amount depends on the number of weeks which have elapsed in the term. Entrance exam fees are non-refundable.

Incomplete (I) Grade

If a student cannot sit for the final exam or complete course requirements due to circumstances beyond control, an ‘I’ grade may be given upon the instructor and program administration approvals. Arrangements should be made by the student with the course instructor in order to change the ‘I’ grade before the second week of the following term. Failure to change the ‘I’ grade into a passing grade will result in the grade being recorded as fail (‘F’).

End of Term Results

Results are posted at the respective divisions offering the course / certificate in the hosting campus (Tahrir Square, Heliopolis, Zamalek) one week or ten days after the end of the term. A grade report is given to certificate students.

Certificates and Transcripts

Upon graduation from a certificate, a student is entitled to one original copy of the graduation certificate and one transcript of the academic record, free of charge. Additional copies may be issued upon request for a nominal fee. Transcripts could be airmailed directly upon a written request.

Graduation Honors

Certificate students who complete their graduation requirements with a high GPA are awarded the honors of ‘High Distinction’ (GPA = 4.0) and ‘Distinction’ (GPA equal or greater than 3.5).
