Through its four schools, AUC offers over 30 undergraduate majors and 15 graduate programs serving approximately 5,000 students, as well as educational opportunities to enhance the professional and job skills of over 30,000 non-degree students. The School of Humanities and Social Sciences (HUSS) focuses on enhancing its students' ability to analyze opinions and assumptions, become more aware of the past while open to new ways of thinking, and develop a capacity for critical thinking and creative approaches to problem-solving. HUSS faculty seek to help students learn how to think, not what to think -- a vital ability in a rapidly changing world.

School of Business, Economics and Communication

The School of Business, Economics and Communication (BEC) has a focus on professional programs and is widely recognized for its high quality programs in journalism, economics and business. The school prides itself on building these programs on a solid liberal arts foundation, which provides graduates with the background needed to understand the world in which they will live and to allow them to bring this perspective into their professional lives.

School of Sciences and Engineering

The School of Sciences and Engineering (SSE) offers foundational knowledge in the fields of science and engineering — a grounding in key experiments and proofs, theories and ways of knowing. Students are educated to acquire an appreciation of their responsibilities to society, and to prepare themselves for successful careers and leadership. The school provides an environment in which students develop their critical thinking capabilities, problem solving skills, communication skills and proficiency in the tools of learning.

School of Continuing Education

The School of Continuing Education (SCE) extends the resources of the university into the community by providing high quality educational opportunities for learners of all ages in Arabic, English, translation, business studies, computer studies, education and more. Through SCE's customized programs, the center also meets the interests, needs and schedules of individuals and organizations. Client organizations include multinational corporations, businesses and governmental and non-governmental organizations in Egypt and abroad.
