Writing Center
Welcome to the AUC Mohamed Taymour Writing Center! Our mission is to help graduate and undergraduate students improve their communication abilities by providing services for writing, presenting, and critical thinking. We also assist faculty in the effective use of writing components in their courses and professional work.
Location
We now have two locations open Sunday-Thursday, 10:20 AM - 3:00 PM
-In the Rhetoric and Composition Department
OR
-Learning Commons (in the Writing Center Annex on the main floor of the Library)
The Learning Commons is also open to graduate students ONLY on the following schedule:
Monday: 2:30 - 6:00 PM
Tuesday: 3:00 - 4:00 PM
Wednesday: 2:30 - 6:30 PM
The hours for graduate students are without appointment and on a first-come-first-served basis.

Appointments
To schedule an appointment for a tutoring session, click here, enter your student id number, and select the date and time you prefer to meet with a tutor.

Writing Resources
Review Writing Resources to find explanations, tutorials, examples, links, and practice exercises to guide you in your journey of acquiring effective writing strategies. Workshops
Attend workshops on a variety of communication topics. These workshops provide you with a great opportunity to review and practice for assignments in all classes.
Graduate Student Services
Request Graduate Student Services, including evening tutoring sessions and group workshops.
Faculty Resources
Use the Faculty Resources to enhance writing components in your courses, request tailored workshops and handouts for your students, and schedule consultations for your own professional work.
