Writing Center
Welcome to the AUC Mohamed Taymour Writing Center! Our mission is to help graduate and undergraduate students in all disciplines improve their writing skills and communication abilities.  Individual tutoring is provided in 30 minute sessions to help students in various areas such as writing essays, abstracts, thesis, literature reviews, brainstorming, outlining and researching.

We also assist faculty in the effective use of writing components in their courses and professional work.

Location
Two locations are available:

-Room P112 in the Rhetoric and Composition Department (Al Waleed Building)
-Library Learning Commons (in the Writing Center Annex on the main floor of the Library)

Working hours and Appointments
Working hours can be viewed when scheduling an appointment.  Late afternoon and evening hours are available to suit the needs of graduate students.

Feedback will be provided within 72 hours.

Writing Resources
Review writing resources to find explanations, tutorials, examples, links, and practice exercises to guide you in your journey of acquiring effective writing strategies.


Faculty Resources
Instructors may request a tutor from the Writng Center to come to their class by sending an email to wctutor@aucegypt.edu.  Presentations that can be given include and are not limited to; writing a paper, thesis, citations, literature reviews, abstracts, oral presentations.

Faculty may use
writing resources to enhance writing components in their courses.  They may also use attached handouts to distribute to students, which includes information on the services provided by the Writing Center.
