Instructional Consultations

Faculty interested in experimenting with new teaching strategies, in trying new active learning methods, or in getting advice on achieving better learning outcomes can contact us for one-on-one consultations.

Instructional consultations include (but are not limited to):

  • Designing, developing and revising course activities and materials
  • Experimenting with innovative teaching strategies
  • Effectively integrating technology into teaching
  • Implementing formative assessment of your courses and discussing recommendations when needed
  • Constructing of teaching portfolios
  • Addressing particular classroom problems
  • Brainstorming or discussing anything that can help you improve your teaching

Depending on the outcome of the first consultation session, faculty may request a CLT staff member to observe their class and provide feedback, or CLT may offer to help faculty get student feedback through our assessment activities. If you are implementing an interesting innovation in your classroom, you might also be interested in doing a Classroom Action Research project with us.

Confidential consultations are provided on a one-time or continuing basis as needed

To request an instructional consultation, you can drop by at any time to set an appointment or contact one of our staff directly. Alternatively, you can email us clt@aucegypt.edu or call on 2797.6658.
