With the help of a Mellon Foundation grant, the Center for Learning and Teaching (CLT) at the American University in Cairo was established in the Fall of 2002, as a new component of Libraries and Learning Technologies. The primary focus of CLT is to provide our faculty with the opportunity to rethink their teaching, to explore the effective application of technology to the teaching/learning process, and to help create a stimulating learning environment. The Center keeps a spotlight on teaching through a variety of programs, services, workshops and lectures.

The Center also serves as a central location and contact point for faculty members to access the existing services of Academic Computing Services (ACS), Classroom Technologies and Media Services (CTMS) and University Libraries. CLT is located in Room 212A of the the Falaki Academic Center.
