What is WebCT?

WebCT is a web based course administration and teaching program used by the Department of Rhetoric and Composition instructors for all their courses. A student is required to use the WebCT program to keep track of assignments, emails, syllabus, readings, and other materials that are used in the course.

How do I access WebCT?

You will be able to access your WebCT account after the first week of classes. You should go to WebCT and enter your UserID and Password. Your initial UserId will be your 9 digit Student ID number and your Password will also be your 9 digit Student ID number. Once you have logged on, you should change your password immediately so no one else can access your account.

What does WebCT do?

You can get a brief overview of what WebCT looks like by taking the WebCT tour. When you are prompted for the the UserID, enter "guest" and also enter "guest" for the Password.
