Mariam Ali '04 is an actress, vocalist, senior writer for Ego magazine and graduate student in political science and Middle East Studies. As a member of Temple Theatre's Mother I Want to Be a Millionnaire, Mariam toured Egypt, Jordan, Sweden and Germany in 2004. She sings professionally with the Tamarian Experience, Zito and the Harmonious Funk, and Sundial.
Yara Atef Goubran '04 is an actor in both theatre and film, most recently in her fellow alumna Laila Solimon's Ghorba. She is also a program associate for the Contemporary Image Collective.
Dalia El Guindy '03 was cast as Emily in the Egyptian-Arabic premiere of Thornton Wilder's Our Town, a co-production of the Hanager Theatre and the US Embassy. After its initial run at the Hanager Theatre, the production toured Egypt.
Ahmed El Attar '92 continued his studies in France, receiving his master's degree in arts and cultural management from Paris III Sorbonne Nouvelle. He is the founder and artistic director of the Temple Independent Theatre Company and the general manager of the Emad Eddin Foundation studio, Cairo's first independent rehearsal, training and residency space. His Temple Theatre original productions have toured throughout Egypt and abroad, including Lebanon, Jordan, Sweden, Germany, Portugal and Switzerland. His newest piece, Variations on the Theme of Othello, co-produced by AUC's theatre program, premiered at the Falaki Mainstage Theatre in September 2006.
Asser Yassin '03 has appeared in two films, Omaret Yaqobian and Haleem, and has just completed a TV series for Khairi Bishara, "Kalb Habiba," which was shown during Ramadan 2006.
Effat Yehia '91 is the artistic director and founder of the Caravan (Al-Qafela), an independent theatre group which has performed throughout Egypt since 1992. A director and playwright, her works deal with women's struggles in a changing Egyptian society.
