Research

Research conducted at the Physics department is interdisciplinary and diverse and covers the following areas:

Thermoacoustics, hydrogen storage materials, photonic bandgap materials, optical and magnetic properties of solids, renewable energy, rural community development, fundamental interactions, gauge theories and particle physics, low-temperature physics, semiconductor physics, environmental physics, design, fabrication and characterization of Micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS), laser alloying, wave propagation, diffraction and scattering, optical communications and optical fiber sensors, optical Trapping, soft condensed matter physics, polymer physics.
