The computer science program at AUC is designed to educate students in mathematics, basic sciences, and fundamentals of computer science, with emphasis on the creative applications of scientific knowledge in the analysis, design, and implementation of computer software and hardware systems; prepare students to cope with, and improve on, the ever-evolving discipline of computer science and state-of-the-art technologies in the industry of software and hardware systems.

ABET-accredited programs are recognized worldwide. Graduates of ABET-accredited engineering programs are eligible to register as professional engineers in many countries around the world, including the United States, Canada and Australia, after passing the required examinations.
