Recent and continuous technological developments have led to tremendous growth in the markets for goods and services.  Hence, the need for qualified managers has grown in importance more than ever.

Executive Managers are involved in the various aspects of a business, which includes, among others, strategic planning, assessing and enhancing business performance and control. Also, information technology plays a very important role nowadays and in years to come in developing businesses and for the provision of information for decision making.

This program provides the necessary knowledge and skills that when put into practice and developed will enable Executive Managers to contribute to the success of their businesses.

This diploma is equivalent to diplomas awarded by Egyptian Supreme Council of Universities decision no. 22 dated June 6, 2002.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

  • Expose participants to most recent management  theories as well as generally accepted common practice in various areas .
  • Enable participants to analyze financial performance of firms and implement timely actions that would lead to better performance.
  • Empower participants with sales and marketing skills and concepts that are essential for the viability of any firm.
  • Equip participants with entrepreneurial skills that would give insight into ways of starting a business using market studies, vision, and leadership drive.

ADMISSION REQUIRMENTS

          
  1. A university degree is required with a minimum grade ‘Good’. In case the graduation grade is 'Pass’, both of the following have to be satisfied:
    a ) A score of 550 in the local TOEFL exam.
    b )An employer recommendation letter, indicating a minimum of 2 years general work experience. Please provide us with the original degree plus a copy.
  2. Participants have to pass the local TOEFL exam with a minimum score of 550. To book for local TOEFL exam please call :02-2797 6853 or 02-2797 6844.
  3. Copy of personal identification card.
    • Passing the local TOEFL exam does not guarantee or indicate admission to the program.
    • A participant is admitted to the program only if the registration form is completed and payment is effected.
    • Once the required number of participants for a particular group is met, no more participants can be admitted.

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE

Once the Admission Requirements are satisfied, please proceed with:

  1. Filling in the program Registration Form , in person at :
    Information & Registration Office - Jameel Center 6th  floor.
    Registration starts 04-11-2007.
  2. Paying the fees in cash or by bank certified check in favor of The American University in Cairo. The Finance Office, is located  at Jameel Center,5th floor , Room 509 , Sunday to Wednesday 9:00 am – 12: 30 pm.
  3. Issuing your university identity card which will enable you to enter the university premises as well as use library resources.

INSTRUCTION AND DURATION

Classes are conducted once a week on Saturdays from 5:30 pm to 08:30 pm, for a period of around 17  months. First class starts on 5th of January , 2008.

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS

  1. A minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.75 out of 4 is required (68.75 % equivalent to a ‘C’).
  2. A minimum attendance of 80%  of sessions  is required .
